Stephen Michael Yates Age: 68 Of: Madison, TN Died: Friday, January 29, 2021, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. Mr. Yates was born in Highland Park, a suburb of Detroit, Michigan on February 4, 1952. He graduated from Dickson County High School and later received a degree in Communication from Cornell University. He served in the United States Army and the Army National Guard for 22 years, retiring with the rank of Sergeant First Class, E-7. He earned and was awarded Food Service Specialist and Finance Specialist throughout his military career. He retired from the State of Tennessee, Department of Finance and Administration, as PA-3 Compliance Auditor where he led professional auditors in performing financial, compliance, and operational audits. Visitation: 11:00 a.m. until time of service Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the Spann Funeral Home. Funeral Service: will be conducted from the Chapel of the Spann Funeral home at 1:00 p.m. February 4, 2021 with Brother Jacob Galloway officiating.
