Mr. Steven Alan Wanamaker, age 64

Of New Johnsonville, TN passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at his home. He was born June 29, 1960, in Waverly, TN to James and Mable Wanamaker. 

Steve proudly served in the Army National Guard, committing two decades of his life to the military with honor and courage before retiring. His service was a point of immense pride for him, encapsulating his strong sense of duty and commitment to his country. Following his military career, Steve dedicated another twenty years to Proper International, where his work ethic and professionalism were evident to all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Outside professional realms, Steve was a passionate individual with a love for adventure. He relished every moment spent riding his Harley motorcycle, finding joy and freedom on the open road. His adventures on his bike were more than just a pastime; they represented a lifestyle of exploration and camaraderie with fellow riders. His passion for the open road was also shared with his motorcycle group, the Tennessee River Disciples. Together, they formed bonds that transcended mere friendship, navigating the highways and byways.

As we remember Steve, we celebrate not only his love for riding but also the kindness and warmth he extended to everyone around him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have shared moments with him. 

Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 8:00pm Monday, February 3rd and from 11:00am until service time Tuesday, February 4th at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Mr. Wanamaker will be conducted at 1:00pm Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Janie Burkett officiating. 

Interment will follow in J. Warren Cemetery.
