Mrs. Thelma Breeden Crowell, age: 87 Of: Waverly, formerly of New Johnsonville, TN Died: Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Waverly Health Care Center. She was born August 7, 1930 in Humphreys County, TN. Mrs. Crowell was known as “Pip” or “Aunt Pip” to her family or friends on the Breeden side of the family, and just Aunt Thelma on the Crowell side. No matter what you called her, she loved each one. Her greatest fear in life was that a person might be hungry, and no one ever came to her house without being offered something to eat. She enjoyed chocolate in all forms, but her specialties in baking were chess pies and pecan pies. She enjoyed raising vegetables and flowers in her yard, but her job was taking care of her family. Mrs. Crowell was a member of Hustburg Church of Christ. Visitation: will be held from 4:30 – 8:00pm Saturday, February 17th and from 12:30pm until service time Sunday, February 18th at Humphreys County Funeral Home. Funeral Services: for Mrs. Crowell will be conducted at 2:00pm Sunday, February 18th at Humphreys County Funeral Home with Bro. James Wall officiating. Interment: will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery.
