Thelma Diana Mullinicks (10/10/1948 – 12/17/2024)
MULLINICKS, Thelma Diana, age 76, of McEwen, passed from this Earth on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. She was a lifelong resident of Humphreys County, TN. Diana was born October 10, 1948, in Fulton, Kentucky to parents Laura Jean Stewart and James W. Banes, who preceded her in death. She was raised by her mother and a wonderful stepfather, William H. “Dub” Ridings. She attended McEwen High School and graduated with the class of 1966. Diana went on to enroll and earn her Business Certificate at Draughons Business School before marrying her high school sweetheart, John Thomas “Tommy” Mullinicks, Sr. on July 15, 1967.
Diana lived in the same house on Hwy. 70 in McEwen from the age of 3 until the age of 63. During this period, she raised two children, worked at the local bank, and then began her career with the United States Postal Service, from which she would retire with 34 years of service. After the passing of her husband in 2009, Diana and her mother began spending time on the farm of her grandparents, Dave and Thelma Stewart. Her time on Indian Creek was such a time of comfort and healing. Diana would later buy a farm on East Big Richland Creek where she and her mother would work and play side by side until her mother’s passing in 2012. After building the house of her dreams, she and her longtime companion, Robert Sizemore, spent time managing both her cattle farm, “Happy Cow Farms” and her rental business, “Mullinicks Rentals.”
Diana created a life that she loved. She loved to paint, draw, sew, and relax on the porch with her many rescued animals. Diana could master anything she put her mind to and was an Amazing Entrepreneur!
Diana lived a life full of adventures, enjoying many simple pleasures with those who loved her and were loved by her. She was always devoted to her family.
In addition to her parents and stepfather, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, John Thomas “Tommy” Mullinicks, Sr., and two cousins, Gene Stewart and Douglas Stewart.
She is survived by son, John Thomas "Tom” Mullinicks, Jr. (Kelsey), daughter, Jeanna Mullinicks Koivula (Mark), five grandchildren, Ben Koivula, Alex Koivula, Anna Koivula, Maddox Mullinicks, and Jax Mullinicks, all of Dickson, TN, longtime companion, Robert Sizemore, brother-in-law, Jimmy Mullinicks (Retha), all of McEwen, TN, along with a host of family and dear friends.
