Lt. Col. Thomas E. Haley Jr. (Ret.) age 79, of Dickson, Tennessee, transitioned into eternal life with our savior Jesus Christ, on January 5, 2022.
Tom was born on December 3, 1942, to Jewel and Thomas Edward Haley, in Dickson.
Tom attended Austin Peay State University and graduated with a degree in Business Administration in 1963. Upon completing college, Tom proudly served his country for 27 years in the USAF, entering as a Second Lieutenant, and retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Throughout his career, Tom enjoyed overseas assignments, which his children have fond memories of, as they got to see the world. After retiring his commission, Tom continued his passion for service in civilian capacity in the Air Force. Upon his final retirement, Tom returned to his beloved hometown of Dickson, where he lived for the rest of his life.
Second only to his passion for service, Tom loved engaging with friends and family. He was a very outgoing person who enjoyed get-togethers both large and small, and on Saturdays could be found near a TV rooting for the Tennessee Volunteers Football Team.
Tom was preceded in death by his Parents, and Brothers, Mike Haley, Larry Haley, and Steve Burns. He is survived by his Daughter, Stacy Haley-Courson of Austin, Texas, his Son, Blake Haley, wife Christi of Alamo, California, his Grandchildren, Chris Courson of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Kyle Haley, and Kendall Haley both of Alamo, California, along with nieces Stephanie (Haley) Estes, husband Barry Estes, Hollie Haley, and nephews, Todd and Chris Haley.
