Obituary Notice Date: August 11, 2009 Name: William A. Givens Age: 85 Of: Charlotte, TN. Died: Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Horizon Medical Center. Mr. Givens was a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church, Charlotte Lodge #97, Dickson County Shrine Club & Al Menah Shriners. Mr.Givens was a descendant of the Pioneer Families of Williamson County and the Founding Family of Tennessee. He was a World War II Veteran serving in the Alaskan Defense Command. Mr. Givens was retired from L&N Railroad and Ford Glass Plant. Visitation: 2:00 – 8:00 Wednesday, Aug. 12 with Masonic service at 7:00 p.m. at the Spann Funeral Home. Visitation 4:00 – 8:00 Thursday. Aug 13 at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Friday Aug 14 from 10:30 until time of service at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Nashville. Funeral Service: 11:30 p.m. Friday August 14, 2009 at Woodlawn Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Wires officiating.
