William Vance "Bill" Latimer

William Vance “Bill” Latimer, age 88, passed away at his home in Burnsville, NC on Sunday, March 3, 2019 while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Waverly, Tennessee on September 15, 1930 to the late Roscoe and Agnes Latimer. William was a member of Mount Celo Presbyterian Church in Burnsville, NC. He was also a Veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served his country honorably. William was a graduate from the University of Detroit with a bachelor’s degree. He is preceded in passing by his parents; a daughter, Elaine Schmidt; three sisters, Thelma Jo Baker, Mary Ann McKeel, and Rebecca Hite; and a brother Herman Bruce Latimer. Left to cherish his memory are his four children, Anne Goetz and husband Bill of Marion, NC, Margaret Mucaria and husband Joe of Clinton Township, MI, John Latimer and wife Rissa of Salisbury, NC, and Marian Latimer of Salisbury, NC; one brother, Charles “Woody” Latimer (Roberta) of Waverly, TN; one sister, Gale Allison of Sterling Heights, MI; twelve Grandchildren; and eleven Great Grandchildren. Visitation: will be held from 9:00am until service time Saturday, March 9th at Humphreys County Funeral Home. Memorial Services: for Mr. Latimer will be conducted at 10:00am Saturday, March 9th in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jeff Keele officiating.
