Wilma Jean Reeves, born on December 8, 1945, departed this life peacefully on February 12, 2025. A cherished matriarch, Wilma's legacy is defined by her profound love for family and her passion for crafting meaningful connections and treasured keepsakes.
Throughout her life, Wilma embraced the joys of simple living. She was an avid crocheter, skillfully weaving yarn into delightful animals that brought joy to her loved ones. Her hands, always busy with yarn, created not only playful creations but also heartfelt gifts, including the treasured baby blankets she made for each of her grandchildren. These blankets symbolized warmth, comfort, and the unwavering affection she held for her family.
Wilma was a social soul, delighting in the company of those around her. Her warm spirit and nurturing ways extended beyond her immediate family as she lovingly took care of her nieces and nephews. Wilma's ability to foster relationships through her kind and generous nature made her a beloved figure in her community.
In her later years, she found solace in her rocking chair, where she could reflect on her life filled with rich experiences and cherished moments with her family. Wilma Jean Reeves will be remembered not just for her exceptional crafting abilities or her social nature but for the profound impact she had on the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Visitation: will begin on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 3 – 7 PM and will continue on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM – until time of service at Spann Funeral Home
Funeral Service: will begin at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 14, 2025, from the Chapel of Spann Funeral Home.
Interment: to follow in New Hope Cemetery
